LIMECOAL CARRIERS

Moving The Boundaries Of Quality Service

GET TO KNOW US

Limecoal Carriers is a family-owned business established by Sam Sieberhagen in 2001. At the time they mainly transported lime and coal from the mines to various farms as well as power stations. In 2003, the company expanded their business by transporting fruit and other goods in containers and tautliner links over short and long distances.

In 2004, Sam’s youngest son Reinhardt Sieberhagen joined the company after he completed his BCom Logistics degree at Stellenbosch University. Furthermore, they also started using reefer trucks for the transportation of fruit and other goods over long distances. This department expanded rapidly from the original loads in the Orange River area, to include reefer truck transportation now also done from Gauteng, KwaZulu Natal, Limpopo and the Northern Province.

In 2012 Reinhardt took the position of Managing Director and further expanded the company. In 2015 he opened a Bulk Transport Department for transportation of various products in tautliner and flat deck links across Southern Africa.

Limecoal Carriers specializes in local transportation of 20’ft and 40’ft containers to all South African ports.  These loads make up the majority of the Limecoal portfolio.  Container trucks with Gensets are also available to transport temperature-controlled cargo locally in Cape Town and Port Elizabeth, as well as over longer distances, ie. from Gauteng to Durban.

Today Limecoal’s fleet mostly consists of owner drivers. This allows the company to supply cost effective diesel, tracking and insurance packages to subcontractors leading to its competitive advantage
